Xbox live is the most popular community to play games online. With over 25 million Xbox live gold members, you’ll never have a hard time finding a game again. Xbox Live has the most advanced servers in the world. These servers are also the most secure and have never been hacked. Xbox live brings gamers together from all around the world. The largest gaming community actually pays for their membership, unlike Sony. They realize that you get what you pay for; world class servers, lightening fast matching making, and secured network that has never been hacked. To sign up for Xbox live you have to purchase Microsoft points. You can buy Microsoft points on Xbox live or at your local game store like Game Stop or Play and Trade.

Xbox live has many great social networking features to help you stay connected with friends and family. The Xbox live Facebook feature allows you to search for friends that also play Xbox live.  Once added you can share and tag pictures with each other.  You can also update your status and write on your friends walls. One of my favorite Facebook features is Facebook Kinect, where users can video chat direclty with anyone online using the Xbox 360 Kinect. You can even make videos and share them on Xbox Live’s Youtube. The Youtube feature is brand new and allows you to upload unlimited video clips and share them with your friends. You can watch unlimited amounts of shared media using this feature. Another great way to keep in touch is Xbox live’s Twitter feature. The Twitter feature allows you to follow your friends and tweet what ever is on your mind at the time. Xbox live recognizes the importance of shared media online.

Xbox live is a great place to watch movies, T.V. shows and music videos. If you have a Netflix membership already you can stream high definition content straight onto you Xbox. This is perfect if you don’t want to download movies from the Zune marketplace which takes up a lot of space on your 360 hard drive.  With Netflix you have access to thousands of movies and T.V. Shows. You can even watch a movie in theater mode with up to your people. If you want to own a movie or T.V. show, you can download on Zune in standard and high definition. If you just want to rent the movie for a few days, I recommend renting a movie.  Don’t have cable T.V.? Don’t worry, a new feature called Hulu Plus allows users to watch shows in standard definition or high definition. Hulu Plus is free for now, but Microsoft says they will be requiring a separate membership this fall.
