Euphoria by Calvin Klein was the first new perfume for women after five years in which only special editions of existing perfumes were launched (especially for Eternity and CK One, which are the best sellers of the fashion house). The declared notes are: lotus sprouts, liquid amber, cream, black orchid, champaca flower.
The opening is quite sweet, with notes of caramel and praline, but it quickly changes towards neutral fruits and lively floral notes, with dry wood in the background. In the middle phase there are two aromatic lines: one of neutral fruity notes, and a tropical floral one, with also touches of sweet freesia. The intensity will keep on growing during the first hour, and the floral side will end up being the dominant note, with the champaca flower giving its typical tropical aroma (it reminds of Estee Lauder Beyond Paradise by Estee Lauder). The fruits however don’t disappear and become riper, blending with amber. In the final phase, the fragrance changes considerably, with the caramel of the beginning, dry woods and a mix if chocolate with vanilla.
For the density of some of the notes, and a structure the focuses around resin and wood, Calvin Klein Euphoria has a style that can be defined nocturnal and wintry. In general it has a good sensual charge, and an aroma that is easy to remember. In a winter scenario, the fragrance will be suitable for a daily use, especially in social occasions and open spaces. In the office however, the fragrance will reach its peak, and it will be wearable any time of the year, especially with a stable air conditioning system. In that scenario, it will draw attention in the corridors, projecting an elegant and professional image. A night setting will be another good occasion to wear it, although perhaps not so catchy as during the day.
