HCG diet dangers weight loss – Educating yourselves

A new weight loss program is gaining popularity all over the country and this is something which is really dangerous. The diet is advertized as to lose thirty pounds a month. It sounds great but this is the slogan of almost every diet program. The same is the case with the HCG diet. The hormone-based HCG diet dangers weight loss is life-threatening. The risky diet consists of injections of pregnancy HCG hormone and a low calorie intake of 500 per day.

Since the 1950s, the Hhcg for weight loss has undergone various tests and it has been found that the hormone attacks little fat deposits in the body. HCG is not supported by FDA but still many doctors prescribe HCG bottles so that patient can absorb it homeopathically or inject themselves. The diet proves to be dangerous when it combines very low calorie intake of 500 each day with the hormone. The dieter loses weight rapidly but it is mostly due to low intake of calories. An intake of 500 calories per day is much less than the calorie intake of an average person. The diet includes tea and toast for breakfast, a small quantity of lean meat at lunch along with a spinach salad, fruit in the afternoon and lean meat or fish with limited sides for dinner. If the dieter happens to consume too many calories or bad calorie like carbohydrates sugar etc, he has to consume only six apples and water for the next 24 hours. This kind of diet is not an ideal one for long term weight loss goals though a dieter is able to lose weight rapidly in a short time period, giving a psychological benefit to the dieter. The dieters feel good about eating very less instead of feeling guilty of overeating.

These methods seem to like the one from an anorexic’s journal and to some extent they are funnily close in this respect. The diet is in no way healthy and has various side effects. Hence it is not perfect for your long term weight loss regimen.
