Five Best Country Songs for Teenage Girls

Deciding upon the best country songs is not an easy task, especially when you narrow the demographic. The task was to set out to discover which country songs were most loved by teenage girls, so we employed the opinions of a few local cowgirls. They had no trouble providing us with a great list of five of the country songs most loved by teenage girls.

Best Country Songs for Teenage Girls:

1. “Love Story” by Taylor Swift – Coming in at number one, this self-penned hit was released in September of 2008 and quickly rose to the number four spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was styled around William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, and written about one of Swift’s love interests who was not viewed favorably by family and friends.

2. “Redneck Woman” by Gretchen Wilson – In March of 2004, “Redneck Woman” was released as a single which served as the lead song to Wilson’s debut album Here for the Party. The song earned her a Grammy Award and had teenage girls and mothers everywhere singing about keeping their Christmas lights up year-round.

3. “This Kiss” by Faith Hill – If ever there were a song about the feeling of love, this song ranks among the very best of them. The song is centered around the emotional joys of a lover’s kiss and features an up-beat tempo that invokes the pitter-patter feelings that love brings. It was released in March of 1998 and peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at number seven. It was also featured on the soundtrack for the hit movie Practical Magic.

4. “Ready, Set, Don’t Go” by Billy Ray Cyrus & Miley Cyrus – This father-daughter duet was released in 2007 and eventually peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at number thirty-seven. It is a ballad which describes a father watching his daughter leave home to pursue her own life.

5. “All-American Girl” by Carrie Underwood – This song was released as the second single from Underwood’s album Carnival Ride in December of 2007. It was her first #1 hit song to spend more than three weeks at the top of the Country Songs Billboard chart. The song details the “typical life” of an all-American girl.
