Everyone has stuff to store. Whether it is your scout stamp collection or the extra bedding for guests, all ages, walks of like and people need storage of some kind of another. The good news is that because we own more then ever there are also more storage solutions then ever before. For those that are a little on the frugal side here are some cheap or less expensive solutions.
Boxes are the one of the best inventions since sliced bread. I mean really who has not used a box in their lifetime. Now here is the fun of it. Boxes can actually be very elegant and useful and not look box like at all. If you take a can of paint and paint them to complement your décor then paste onto them some decals and/or beautiful wording that you can find in scrapbooking stores you will have yourself a very elegant and useful free box.
If a cardboard box is not hearty enough for what you need and want then go with plastic stackable storage bins. These come in all sizes, all prices and all colors. They will store almost anything and you can stack them as you require, creating space as you would when you have a shelving unit.
Plastic storage cabinets are another great choice if you want to expand your pantry or need some more storage for items but can’t afford to bring in a carpenter to do the work. These storage cabinets are also mobile if you move, leave or need to put them in a different location.
Space saving hangers are great for making space in your closet in a jiff. By collapsing your clothes in a down ward direction you will save loads of space.
You can also use vacuum bags for those soft items like blankets and clothes that are not used often if at all. The Vacuum bags will shrink down the items to a third of the space then they were originally.
